Studs

I tried taking photographs of our stud collection but my efforts weren’t that great. I decided to create a computer model of the piece. The tricky part was the curled clasp. I had no idea how to do it so I unraveled one with a pair of pliers, took some measurements and created the outline. I then extruded it slightly, sculpted in some ridges and then re-curled the piece in CAD. There was definitely some head scratching involved but now that I have the model, I can create thousands of virtual photographs in any position and multiple lighting environments.
